Hi, I'm Gary.
I'm a photographer, videographer and graphic designer based in South Yorkshire, with over two decades of experience creating visual content that tells meaningful stories. Whether I'm documenting people, producing commercial films, photographing products or designing a brand from the ground up, my aim is always the same: to create work that connects with people.
My career hasn't followed a traditional path, and I think that's one of my greatest strengths. Alongside running my own creative business, I've worked across a wide range of industries, giving me the ability to understand both the technical and human side of every project. I enjoy solving problems, simplifying complex ideas and finding creative ways to communicate a message, whether that's through photography, film or design.
In recent years I've also developed a passion for education, completing my Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) and teaching photography, film and media. Helping others develop their creative skills has become just as rewarding as creating my own work. I believe the best teaching comes from real industry experience, and I enjoy sharing the lessons I've learned throughout my career with the next generation of creatives.
Outside of commercial work, I'm passionate about using visual storytelling to make a positive impact. Much of my documentary work has involved supporting charities and community organisations, particularly those working with military veterans. These projects have reinforced my belief that photography and film can do far more than simply record moments—they can preserve history, build understanding and give people a voice.
When I'm behind a camera, I'm not just looking for a technically perfect image. I'm looking for authenticity. The small moments that often go unnoticed. The expressions that aren't posed. The stories that deserve to be told.
